Indian ambassador leaves Pyongyang as mass exodus out of DPRK continues

Only handful of embassies remain open in North Korea as COVID-19 controls ban international travel, movement in country

The Indian ambassador to North Korea left Pyongyang by rail on July 2, informed sources told NK News, further diminishing the number of embassies with senior personnel still left in the country.

Ambassador Atul Malhari Gotsurve, whose term in North Korea had officially ended last December, accompanied a large delegation from the Russian Embassy exiting the country over the Khasan-Tumangang rail bridge, which connects Russia and North Korea.
