A researcher affiliated with a progressive-leaning and anti-U.S. organization in South Korea was arrested and charged with meeting and communicating with a North Korean agent, Seoul’s Central District Prosecutor’s office indicated in a statement NK News obtained Friday.
Lee Jeong-hoon, 57, a regular contributor to the 4.27-Era website, was accused of breaking the ROK’s National Security Law for meeting a North Korean agent who entered South Korea in April 2017 using a false identity.
