North Korea’s party plenum came to a close after four days on Friday, with Kim Jong Un reportedly taking the stage to call out “serious problems” with some top officials and make a fresh plea for loyalty and self-sacrifice.
Despite referencing ongoing challenges, Kim also offered a positive outlook in saying the Workers’ Party of Korea (WPK) will overcome “difficulties,” including worse problems that the country “may be confronted with in the future,” the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) reported on Saturday.
