After 29,615 tested, North Korea says it’s still COVID-free

Self-reported data to the WHO continues record streak while no apparent progress made on vaccine deliveries to DPRK

North Korea claimed there were no positive COVID-19 cases in the country after testing a cumulative total of 29,615 persons, according to self-reported data in an updated World Health Organization (WHO) report.

The total number of samples tested so far is 58,956, the report added. Between May 28 and June 3, North Korea said it tested 710 people, among which 141 had “influenza-like illness and/or severe acute respiratory infections,” according to the report.
