South Korean forces will conduct drills next week to prepare for any future wartime invasions or attacks on major national facilities, the country’s Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS) said on Friday.
South Korean military officials, the police and firefighters will carry out drills in the southeastern city of Daegu and North Gyeongsang province, and their practice runs will cover weapons of mass destruction as well as unconventional threats like COVID-19.
