U.S. President Joe Biden invited South Korean President Moon Jae-in to visit Washington next month to talk about North Korea and other alliance matters, the White House announced on Thursday. The trip, slated for sometime in the second half of May, will mark the two leaders’ first face-to-face meeting since Biden took office.
The announcement comes after foreign policy and defense officials from both Seoul and Washington met up last month, in part to assist the U.S. officials in their ongoing North Korea policy review.
