Young North Koreans and officials are set to descend on the capital this April to reset and rename the country’s youth league, state media announced on Thursday, at the group’s first major event in five years.
The 10th Congress of what is now called the Kimilsungist-Kimjongilist Youth League will be held in Pyongyang in “early April,” the party-run newspaper Rodong Sinmun reported, stating that the event will “provide a new landmark in the development of the Juche-oriented youth movement.”
