Top South Korean official urged North Korea to return to nuclear negotiations and asked for international support at UN

Nearly two years after nuclear negotiations with North Korea fell apart, a top South Korean official urged Pyongyang to return to talks at a high-level U.N. event on Tuesday.

Speaking virtually at the United Nations Conference on Disarmament in Geneva, First Vice Foreign Minister Choi Jong-Kun called on other countries to give their “unwavering support” in pursuing peace with the North.
