U.S. and South Korean presidents Joe Biden and Moon Jae-in promised to work closely to achieve North Korean denuclearization and peace on the peninsula, according to statements from the White House and the Blue House.
The phone call on Thursday morning was the first between the two since Biden’s inauguration on Jan. 20. The U.S. president has already had calls with the leaders of Japan, Russia, Germany, France and the U.K.
