North Korea rolled out a submarine-launched ballistic missile that it dubbed “the world’s strongest weapon” at a military parade on Thursday, with leader Kim Jong Un reportedly watching heavy-armored vehicles roll by and aircraft fly overhead.
North Korea’s state-run Voice of Korea (VOK) reported early Friday morning that rows of soldiers marched through Kim Il Sung square in Pyongyang to celebrate the end of the Eighth Party Congress as the country’s military showed off “columns of mechanized units including armoured vehicles, ultra-modern tactical rockets, and mainstay tanks.” North Korean Defense Minister Kim Jong Gwan also reportedly gave a speech at the event.
