South Korea closely watches US election, vows to ‘work with any administration’

Regardless of the results, South Korea's foreign minister will meet U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo next week

As the U.S. presidential election appears to be winding down, South Korea’s presidential Blue House made one last push to promote peace goals on the Korean Peninsula.

On Thursday, the Blue House put out a statement vowing to “actively cooperate with the incoming new administration to achieve denuclearization and a peace regime” — no matter who gets elected.
