A prominent U.S. official is backing up South Korean President Moon Jae-in’s plan to engage with North Korea over the recent lethal shooting of a 47-year-old government worker in North Korean waters.
National Security Office Director Suh Hoon spoke over the phone with U.S. National Security Advisor Robert O’Brien on Thursday, Oct. 10 and expressed condolences and "support” for the South Korean government’s pitch to “find out the truth through inter-Korean dialogue,” according to a press release from the presidential Blue House.
