North Korea debuts new propaganda ‘vloggers’ to attract foreign viewers

State media outlets introduced their first Russian-speaking and male ‘individual broadcasters’ last week

Earlier this year, North Korean propaganda videos featuring a casual, English-speaking host made waves in international media. NK News was the first to report the inside story on these new YouTuber-style vlogs, which are still being posted on American and Chinese social media sites.

Now, North Korea is ramping up its foreign propaganda outreach by introducing several new “vloggers” in state-run media outlets this month, NK News has found.
