Senior officials from Seoul, Pyongyang, Washington and Beijing virtually attended a ministerial ASEAN Regional Forum (ARF) on Saturday, a rare meeting of government representatives who are seldom represented together.

During the event, ministers of participating countries “mentioned the need for implementing UNSC resolutions, as well as the agreements between the leaders of South Korea, North Korea and the U.S.,” South Korea’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs said on Saturday evening.

Officials also expressed support for the continuance and resumption of dialogue between the two Koreas and the U.S. in order to realize “sustainable peace on the Korean Peninsula without nuclear weapons,”
