North Korean man accused of money laundering appeals US extradition order

Mun Chol Myong’s appeal began in Kuala Lumpur High Court on Friday

A court in Kuala Lumpur will deliberate whether a North Korean man living in Malaysia will be extradited to the U.S. for money laundering charges, with the court first hearing the appeal case on Friday.

Mun Chol Myong, a North Korean citizen, was formally approved for extradition in Dec. 2019 after being charged by the U.S. with four counts of money laundering and two counts of conspiring to launder money.
