South Korea’s military has not detected any signs that North Korea is preparing for a military provocation to mark its ruling party’s upcoming Oct. 10 anniversary, Seoul’s defense minister said on Tuesday.
In an interpellation session held at the South’s National Assembly on Tuesday, defense minister Jeong Kyeong-doo stated that North Korea appears to be preparing for a large-scale event, including a military parade — not a major hostile provocation like a missile test.
