US ‘ready to negotiate’ with North Korea again, State Department official says

U.S. deputy special representative for North Korea also underscores the importance of working with China on DPRK issues

U.S. Deputy Special Representative for North Korea Alex Wong said on Wednesday that the United States "is ready” to negotiate with North Korea again.

Speaking at a hearing before the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, Wong defended the Trump administration’s track record since the first U.S.-North Korea summit in Singapore in 2018.
