South Korea’s Gyeonggi province will attempt to deliver a new humanitarian aid package to North Korea after failing to do so earlier this year, according to a U.N. document published on Aug. 10.
The U.N. 1718 Sanctions Committee website listed South Korea as the recipient of a new sanctions exemption on behalf of the Gyeonggi provincial government, allowing the delivery of $367,000 worth of materials to build greenhouses in North Korea’s Nampho city and South Phyongan province.
