The Seoul Administrative Court ruled in favor of defector-activist group Kuensaem and suspended the government's decision to revoke the group's nonprofit corporate permit, court officials confirmed with NK News on Thursday.
According to the court's public affairs office, there is an "urgent need" to consider how revoking Kuensaem's permit could "generate damage that's difficult [for the activist group] to recover from." The office also added that waiting to take away Kuensaem's license probably won't have a negative impact on public welfare.
