The North Korean city of Kaesong is set to receive additional aid almost two weeks after going into complete lockdown over a "suspected" case of COVID-19, state media reported Thursday, following a special meeting led by Kim Jong Un in Pyongyang the previous day.
The aid package and issues related to the job performance of top government officials were discussed at a meeting of the so-called Executive Policy Council (EPC) of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK) Central Committee – only the fourth of its kind since 2016.
