South Korea’s Navy, Army and Air Force were on Thursday set to hold a round of military drills, just one day after Pyongyang failed to pick up multiple calls from the joint liaison office and simmering inter-Korean tensions.
The drills — which could potentially be seen as a provocation in Pyongyang — are scheduled to take place on the beaches of Uljin, around 205 miles southeast of Seoul, local media reported.
