South Korea will provide $4.9 million in aid aimed at helping North Korea's sustainable development over the next years, Seoul's unification ministry said on Wednesday.
In a decision at the 314th meeting of the South and North Exchange and Cooperation Promotion Council, officials moved that the government provide the funding through the UN Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UNESCAP).
