Ten North Korean citizens were deported by Nigerian authorities in the last half of 2019 ahead of a UN sanctions deadline banning DPRK overseas laborers, the country claimed in a recent report to the UN.
The implementation report represents Nigeria’s first to the UN Security Council (UNSC) 1718 Sanctions Committee on economic measures passed against North Korea in recent years, following years of questions over ongoing ties to DPRK business or other initiatives.
