South Korea's ruling Democratic Party and its satellite party won a landslide majority in national parliamentary elections held this week, the country's electoral commission confirmed Thursday, in a major boost for the incumbent President Moon Jae-in.
With the National Electoral Commission (NEC) reporting 99.86% of total votes counted, the center-left Democratic Party (DP) and its satellite Civil Together Party (CTP) are confirmed to have won 180 seats out of 300 available parliamentary seats.
