DPRK-U.S. negotiations in Stockholm were not “interrupted,” Swedish envoy says

Kent Härstedt says he's "cautiously optimistic" about further North Korea-U.S. talks

Working-level negotiations in Stockholm between North Korea and the United States were not "interrupted" in early October, Kent Härstedt, Sweden's Special Envoy for the Korean Peninsula, told reporters in Seoul on Wednesday.

While in its mediating role Sweden was not a direct witness to negotiations between the two sides in Stockholm, Härstedt said he understood the encounter had constituted a "good meeting."
