Singaporean companies knowingly shipped luxury goods to DPRK, UN report says

New statements suggest companies and Singaporean director concealed North Korea activities

A Singaporean company facing dozens of charges relating to luxury goods exports to North Korea continued indirectly sending goods there after claiming to have ceased DPRK trade in 2012, a UN report showed on Tuesday.

T Specialist and its partner firm OCN, two Singaporean companies first highlighted by NK Pro investigation in July 2017, previously told the UN’s Panel of Experts they had ceased exporting products to North Korea in late 2012, in order to shift business towards the China market.
