U.S. sanctions Turkish entity for attempted weapons trade with North Korea

Treasury says Turkish firm, nationals also sought to deal in luxury goods

The U.S. Department of the Treasury on Thursday designated a North Korean diplomat, two Turkish nationals and a Turkish entity for attempting to engage in prohibited weapons and luxury goods transactions.

The designations target Huseyin Sahin, Erhan Culha and a Turkish entity named SIA Falcon International Group (SIA Falcon). Sahin is identified as the CEO of SIA Falcon, while Culha is identified as a general manager at the company.
