United Nations Environment Programme’s (UNEP) Executive Director Erik Solheim is visiting North Korea this week to discuss environmental issues and make field visits to select sites, a statement from an organization spokesperson said on Thursday.
Besides holding discussions in the capital with the foreign ministry and meeting with members of foreign embassies, the delegation will also reportedly make “field visits to forestry sites and a marine environment area to understand conservation, disaster prevention and pollution control challenges.”
