The Russian Foreign Ministry on Thursday said it was outraged by press leaks of UN documents detailing North Korea’s sanctions evasion practices, and called for an investigation into the incident.

Moscow’s comments following media reports based on information from the UN Panel of Experts’ mid-year report, which is typically not released to the press.

“Moscow is outraged by the ‘leak’ in the media at the beginning of this month of the contents of the report of the group of experts of the UN Security Council Committee 1718 on the DPRK,” foreign ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova said at a regular press briefing.
