Seoul is considering the possibility of suspending an annual emergency drill to coincide with the planned halt of an upcoming ROK-U.S. joint military exercise, the South Korean presidential office said on Tuesday.
The comments come after the ROK and the U.S. militaries announced their decision to postpone all planning for the Ulchi Freedom Guardian (UFG) drill, slated to take place in August.
