UN sanctions committee approves N. Korean delegation visit to South

DPRK official Choe Hwi was blacklisted by Security Council in June last year

The United Nations sanctions committee will permit the visit of a delegation of North Korean officials to the South later in the week, the Associated Press reported on Thursday.

In a letter to the South Korean mission to the United Nations - which submitted a request for an exemption for the delegation on Wednesday - chair of the committee Ambassador Karel Van Oosterom specifically named Choe Hwi as being permitted to visit the ROK.
