New security measures have been installed on the access road leading to the North Korean side of the Joint Security Area (JSA) in the demilitarized zone (DMZ) at Panmunjom, informed sources told NK News.
The introduction of the measures follows November's high-profile defection of a North Korean soldier, who drove towards the JSA at high speed before fleeing his vehicle and, under heavy gunfire, escaping to the South.
