South Korea’s air force launches new North Korea intelligence-gathering unit

New ISR unit will conduct surveillance of DPRK "nuclear and missile threats," says ROKAF

The South Korean military has launched a new air force intelligence unit to monitor North Korean nuclear and military facilities, the Republic of Korea Air Force (ROKAF) announced on Friday.

The unit, named the Air Intelligence Wing (AIW), will engage in intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) of North Korean nuclear and missile threats, the air force said.
