China denies selling oil to N. Korea following Trump criticism

Response follows reports that South Korea seized a Hong Kong-flagged ship for an oil transfer at sea

Beijing on Friday denied selling oil to North Korea, following criticism from U.S. President Donald Trump and Seoul's announcement that it seized of a Hong Kong-flagged oil tanker suspected of transferring fuel to a DPRK tanker at sea.

During a regular press conference in Beijing, the country's foreign ministry said it had no knowledge of "individual cases reported by the media."
