Two U.S. B-1B bombers fly over Korean peninsula, stage bombing drills

Pyongyang accuses Washington of conducting a "surprise nuclear strike drill targeting the DPRK"

Two U.S. Air Force B-1B Lancer bombers flew over the Korean peninsula and conducted bombing drills in South Korean territory on Thursday, according to the U.S. Pacific Air Forces (PACAF) and Seoul's Ministry of National Defense (MND).

The two B-1B Lancers, along with fighter jets from the Republic of Korea Air Force (ROKAF) and Japan Air Self-Defense Force (JASDF), “conducted a sequenced bilateral mission in the vicinity of the Korean peninsula," PACAF announced on Thursday.
