The United Kingdom will maintain its current diplomatic relations with Pyongyang in order to facilitate channels of communication, Lord Ahmad of Wimbledon said in a written answer to parliamentary questioning on Thursday.
Lord Alton - a member of the All Party Parliamentary Group on North Korea - had submitted a request of the Minister of State for the Commonwealth and the UN at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) to provide an assessment of diplomatic relations with the DPRK.
