The U.S. Department of the Treasury announced new designations against North Korea for human rights violations on Thursday, targeting North Korea’s military police, construction and labor sector, along with two diplomats overseas.
According to an accompanying press release published by the Treasury's Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) the latest designations are in conjunction with a U.S. State Department report on Serious Human Rights Abuses and Censorship in North Korea, also published today.
