North Korea denies torturing Otto Warmbier, criticizes Trump

North Korean foreign ministry says it treated Warmbier humanely, despite him being a 'criminal'

North Korea on Thursday criticized U.S. President Trump for his recent comments regarding the death of Otto Warmbier, pointing to a recent coroner's report which could find no evidence of torture.

Following an interview with Warmbier's parents on Tuesday, the U.S. President tweeted "Otto was tortured beyond belief by North Korea," though the claim seemed inconsistent with medical examinations.
