Victor Cha to be named next U.S. Ambassador to South Korea: Reuters

Cha previously served on National Security Council and deputy head of delegation to Six Party Talks

Victor Cha, former George W. Bush administration Director for Asian Affairs at the National Security Council, has been confirmed as the Trump administration's pick to be the next U.S. Ambassador to Seoul, Reuters reported on Tuesday.

His appointment follows months of uncertainty – despite increasing tensions between Washington and Pyongyang – about the Trump administration's pick to serve as Ambassador in Seoul.
