No evidence Kaesong funds were used to develop North Korean WMDs: MOU

South Korea says there was "no basis" for Park administration's claims

The South Korean government today said that no evidence had been found that funds generated from the Kaesong Industrial Complex (KIC) were used in the development of North Korean weapons of mass destruction, a Ministry of Unification (MOU) official confirmed to NK News on Thursday.

“The government provided this explanation, but they had no basis,” a high-level official - who asked to remain anonymous - told media in a closed-door briefing.
