S. Korean lawmakers to propose resolution urging family reunions in August

But opposition may block meetings of long-separated relatives, expert suggests

Lawmakers from South Korea's National Assembly will propose a resolution urging Seoul and Pyongyang to agree on meetings in August between families separated by the Korean War, a spokesperson told NK News on Monday.

The resolution, its supporters hope, will pass the National Assembly at the end of the month, the spokesperson said.
