Trump and Moon Jae-in pledge cooperation on North Korea

Moon said to have accepted invitation to visit Washington

Newly-elected South Korean President Moon Jae-in and his U.S. counterpart Donald Trump spoke by phone on Wednesday following the South Korean elections this week, according to statements from both governments.

During their first communication, according to the South Korean Presidential Office, the two leaders discussed the issue of North Korea's ongoing nuclear program and agreed to cooperate in resolving it.
