The UN Special Rapporteur on the rights of persons with disabilities will visit North Korea in an official capacity between May 3 and May 8 this year, the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) announced on Thursday.
The visit by Catalina Devandas-Aguilar will be conducted with an aim to learn more about the situation of disabled persons in the DPRK and will have a particular focus on children with disabilities, according to a press release issued by the UN.
