Pyongyang's iconic Koryo Hotel is currently being renovated, multiple photos taken this March show, a development which appears linked to preparations for the anniversary of founding President Kim Il Sung's birthday on April 15.
Workers at the hotel, which was completed in 1985 and has not been renovated since, were pictured this month appearing to extend and improve structures at the front of the building, an area far from the section damaged during a serious fire in 2015.
