North Korea will host the 25th annual Paektusan International Figure Skating Festival in February, extending invitations to both professional figure skaters and broadcast media, a press release published by a China-based social enterprise group said on Sunday.
The 25th annual "Paektusan Prize" International Figure-skating Festival, which coincides with festivities to commemorate the birthday of the late leader Kim Jong Il, will include the participation of at least eight professional skaters – including one former Olympic gold medalist – Paektu Cultural Exchange (PCE), the group promoting the event, said.
