A majority of Americans, both Republican and Democrat, support a long-term U.S. military base in South Korea, according to a Chicago Council of Global Affairs survey published on Thursday.
The majority of those identified as core Donald Trump supporters also support a long-term base in spite of continued rhetoric by the Republican Presidential candidate, who has questioned the cost and presence of U.S. bases overseas.
