Food aid, daily necessities, and building materials are being sent from around North Korea to the Northeast regions of the country affected by severe flooding, according to state media on Sunday.

A Korean Central Television (KCTV) report says that goods and aid originating from Northern Hwanghae Province, Sariwon, Northern Pyongan Province and Nampo are being sent to damaged areas.

“Dear leader Kim Jong Un has offered the generous gifts to the victims of flood in North Hamgyeong Province,” one segment of the report says, showing stacked packages alleged to have been provided by the leadership.
