$28.2 million needed for North Korea flood damages, says UN

North Korean media shows some rail, roads already up and running

Humanitarian agencies in the DPRK are asking for $28.2 million in funding to help with reparations for the North’s flood-hit regions, according to a UN press release published on Monday.

The UN’s Humanitarian Country Team in North Korea also issued an emergency response plan detailing support for over 600,000 people in North Hamgyong province.
