The use of slogans to stimulate political support is not a uniquely North Korean characteristic. Donald Trump’s rising popularity in the United States has been aided by his clever use of slogans in fostering popular support throughout his campaign. From proclaiming that he will “Make America Great Again” to shouting “Crooked Hillary,” Trump has been able to create a sense of anti-establishment unity amongst his supporters with these stock-phrases.
