Satellite imagery, photos show N.Korea’s new tourist zone

Tourist area opposite Dandong built in six months, seems to be powered at night

Updated satellite imagery and photos taken from Dandong show North Korea’s newly opened tourist zone at Sinuiju, which allows Dandong residents to make visa-free day trips to the DPRK.

The images show that much of the work on the zone was completed between March and September last year, including a 180-meter long building facing the water front.
